Trailer: Sandra Bullock stars in Netflix’s The Unforgivable

Sandra Bullock is heading to Netflix this December for The Unforgivable, and a trailer gives us a first look at the film.
Based on the three-part British series Unforgiven, it follows Ruth Slater (Sandra Bullock), who, after serving a sentence for a violent crime, is released from prison to re-enter a society that refuses to forgive her past. Facing severe judgment from the place she once called home, her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
Bullock is joined on screen by Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Richard Thomas, Linda Emond, Aisling Franciosi, Rob Morgan and Viola Davis. The film is written by Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) and directed by Nora Fingscheidt, who made her debut with Systemsprenger, which premiered at the 2019 International Berlin Film Festival where she won the Silver Bear Award for new perspectives in cinema.
The film will be released in cinemas on 24th November and on Netflix on 10th December.

Jon Bernthal, Vincent D’Onofrio join Sandra Bullock, Viola Davis in Netflix thriller

Daredevil stars Jon Bernthal and Vincent D’Onofrio are teaming up to join Sandra Bullock and Viola Davis in a new Netflix thriller.
The untitled project is directed by Nora Fingscheidt, who made her directorial debut with Systemsprenger, which premiered at the 2019 International Berlin Film Festival where she won the Silver Bear Award for new perspectives in cinema.
It is written by Academy Award Winner Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) adapted from the BAFTA Award-nominated 3-part British mini-series Unforgiven.
Produced by Academy Award Winner Graham King for GK Films, Bullock for Fortis Films and Veronica Ferres for Construction Film, it sees Bullock play Ruth Sadler, released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime. As she re-enters a society that refuses to forgive her past, she faces severe judgment from the place she once called home – her only hope for redemption is finding the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
Emmy Winner and Golden Globe Nominee Richard Thomas (Billions, Wonder Boys), Linda Emond (Lodge 49, Gemini Man), and Emma Nelson (Where’d You Go, Bernadette) also star.
Principal photography is currently underway in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Viola Davis, Rob Morgan join Sandra Bullock in Netflix film

Viola Davis (Widows, Fences, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom) and Rob Morgan (Just Mercy, Mudbound, upcoming Untitled. Showtime Lakers series) have joined Academy Award Winner Sandra Bullock in a new Netflix film.
Bullock will play Ruth Slater, who is released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime. Re-entering a society that refuses to forgive her past, she faces severe judgment from the place she once called home, with her only hope for redemption the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
Bullock will star alongside Davis and Morgan, as well as another new cast addition, Aisling Franciosi (The Nightingale).
The film is written by McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) adapted from the BAFTA Award-nominated 3-part British mini-series Unforgiven.
It is directed by Nora Fingscheidt (System Crasher).

Bullock’s latest feature Bird Box remains one of Netflix’s top performing films and was watched by over 80 million accounts in its first four weeks. Now she’s reteaming with Netflix for an untitled movie. She will play Ruth Slater, who is released from prison after serving a sentence for a violent crime. Re-entering a society that refuses to forgive her past, she faces severe judgment from the place she once called home, with her only hope for redemption the estranged younger sister she was forced to leave behind.
The film is written by McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation) adapted from the BAFTA Award-nominated 3-part British mini-series Unforgiven.
It is directed by Nora Fingscheidt (System Crasher). Fingscheidt made her directorial debut with her film Systemsprenger, which premiered at the 2019 International Berlin Film Festival where she won the Silver Bear Alfred Bauer Award for new perspectives in cinema. Since then, the film has won 24 international awards and was selected to represent Germany at the 2020 Academy Awards.
Bullock will produce for Fortis Film’s, alongside Academy Award Winner Graham King for GK Films and Veronica Ferres for Construction Film. The Executive Producers are Nan Morales, Nicola Shindler, Sally Wainwright and Colin Vaines.
