Regé-Jean Page is reteaming with Netflix for a new heist film from Noah Hawley.
Hawley, who will soon publish his sixth novel, Anthem, is no stranger to the screen, having created Fargo and FX’s X-Men series Legion. He most recently made his feature directorial debut with the drama Lucy in the Sky, starring Natalie Portman.
Now, Hawley is working with Netflix for an untitled thriller, the details of which are being kept strictly under wraps, but is based on an original idea by the writer, who will also direct the project. What we do know is that he is assembling some impressive talent to put the project together, with the Russo Brothers’ company, AGBO, producing.
AGBO recently scored a hit with the Joe Russo-penned Extraction, which is Netflix’s most watched original film to date, and recently wrapped on The Gray Man, starring Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans. Joe Russo, Anthony Russo and Mike Larocca will all produce for AGBO, along with Hawley, who will produce for 26 Keys.
“AGBO was originally founded to allow us to collaborate with artists we greatly respect and admire,” Larocca said. “We are very happy to continue to fulfll that pledge by supporting this new film from Noah Hawley.”
Also on board is Regé-Jean Page, who is no stranger to Netflix subscribers thanks to his breakout role in Bridgerton. Page will also exec-produce along with Angela Russo-Otstot.
