Disney and Hulu have cancelled Reboot after one season.
The series, created by Modern Family’s Steven Levitan, follows the reboot of a fictional early-2000s family sitcom, as the dysfunctional cast deal with their unresolved issues in today’s fast-changing world.
Starring Johnny Knoxville, Keegan-Michael Key, Calum Worthy, Krista Marie Yu and Paul Reiser, the show debuted in November on Disney+, following its premiere in the USA on Hulu. It was promptly hailed as one of the best comedies of the year.
“This sharp sitcom send-up is a smart, sweet and funny watch,” we wrote in our review.
The show was Levitan’s since Modern Family and was part of his overall deal with 20th Century TV. THR reports that he is now shopping the series around to find a new home.
