Trailer: Netflix assembles Pieces of Her this March

What if everything you thought you knew about your life was a lie? That’s the question at the heart of Netflix’s latest page-turning thriller, Pieces of Her.
Based on the bestselling novel by Karin Slaughter, and from the Producers of Big Little Lies and The Undoing, the series is set in a sleepy Georgia town where a random act of violence sets off an unexpected chain of events for 30-year-old Andy Oliver and her mother Laura. Desperate for answers, Andy embarks on a dangerous journey across America, drawing her towards the dark, hidden heart of her family.
Toni Collette and Bella Heathcote star in the eight-part drama – and you can see them in action from 4th March, when the series premieres on Netflix. Here’s a trailer:

Bella Heathcote has joined Toni Collette in Netflix’s Pieces of Her.
The mother/daughter thriller is based on the bestselling novel by crime author Karin Slaughter, whose books have been published in 37 languages and sold over 35 million copies around the world.
Pieces of Her follows an adrift young woman, whose conception of her mother is forever changed, when a Saturday afternoon trip to the mall suddenly explodes into violence. As figures from her mother’s past start to resurface, she is forced to go on the run and on that journey, begins to piece together the truth of her mother’s previous identity and uncovers secrets of her childhood.
Showrunner Charlotte Stoudt (Homeland, House of Cards) will write the series and exec-produce along with Bruna Papandrea (Gone Girl, Big Little Lies, Wild) of Made Up Stories – a development, production and finance company committed to creating content with compelling female figures squarely at the center.
One of those characters was confirmed earlier this month, with Hereditary and Unbelievable star Colette playing Laura. Now, Bella Heathcote has been cast opposite her as Andy, Laura’s 30-year-old daughter.
Heathcote is no stranger to streaming, having started in Amazon’s The Man in the High Castle and CBS All-Access series Strange Angel.

Collette is no stranger to Netflix, having recently starred in true crime drama Unbelievable, for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination.
