Oscar’s Hotel for Fantastic Creatures checks into Vimeo On Demand

Oscar’s Hotel for Fantastical Creatures, a new web series, checks into Vimeo this week. The six-part original show is set in a fantasy universe where 20-something Oliver finds himself appointed the temporary manager of his uncle’s magical hotel.
The series, created by YouTuber KickThePj (aka. PJ Liguori), sees Chris Kendall lead an ensemble guest cast that features both web celebs, such as Anna Akana, Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, Hannah Hart, TomSka and PewDiePie (playing broccoli), and old-school stars, including Patrick Stewart, Alfred Molina and Elliott Gould as a Sirloin Steak. Repeat: Elliott Gould as a Sirloin Steak.
Alongside the humans are a bunch of creations from Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, as Oliver struggles to deal with the hotel’s eccentric, monstrous guests. We don’t see what could go wrong, though: the hotel’s official website already had load of positive reviews, including this one from some Brie:
The series, produced in association with The Jim Henson Company, is the result of a partnership between Vimeo and New Form Digital – who have just release another Vimeo series, The Parallax Theory, which doesn’t feature Elliott Gould as a Sirloin Steak. Oscar’s Hotel spans six episodes in total, with two now available and one released every week worldwide through Vimeo’s pay-per-view Vimeo On Demand platform.
We’ll have a review for you shortly, but until then, here’s a trailer:
