New Game of Thrones Season 6 trailer promises death, death and more death

“We are all sinful creatures. We deserve death. We all do.” So says Jonathan Pryce’s High Sparrow in the new trailer for Game of Thrones Season 6 – and it’s hard to disagree with him, after seeing five seasons’ worth of Westerosi politics.
HBO unexpectedly dropped the latest teaser for the show’s return this weekend, just as we pass the 30 day countdown to the first episode. And what an episode it’s looking set to be, with the new trailer featuring all the potential for death fans would wish for after a divisive Season 5, which slowly positioned the pieces ready for them to collide.
In 30 short seconds, doors are knocked down, people jump out of windows, things burn, horses topple, and the shadowy figure of the Night King rises…
With the TV show essentially caught up with the books, have no idea what’s in store for George RR Martin’s fantasy epic. What we do know is this: Game of Thrones Season 6 will air in the UK on Monday 25th April at 9pm, with Sky Atlantic also simulcasting the episode at 2am so that fans can watch at the same time as it’s on in the US with no fear of spoilers.
We also know that the show will be available to watch online legally without Sky through NOW. The VOD service gives non-Sky customers streaming access to Sky’s biggest and best TV channels, including Sky 1 (Arrow and The Flash) and FOX (The Walking Dead). That means you can stream Game of Thrones Season 6 live, legally, along with other shows, for £6.99 a month. Each episode will be available on-demand post-broadcast – which also means you can catch-up with the programme on NOW on Monday morning (after the 2am broadcast) with your breakfast.
