New Arrow Season 4 trailer gives first look at Diggle’s costume

A new trailer has arrived for Arrow Season 4 and it gives us a first look at Diggle’s new costume.
John Diggle has been a loyal sidekick for three seasons now, but with Oliver Queen hanging up his bow at the end of last season, David Ramsey’s bodyguard is officially stepping up to the hero plate, complete with his own get-up – something you can expect him to hate unreservedly.
“We try to be very consistent with our characterisation,” Executive producer Marc Guggenheim told EW – ComicBook.com also have an image of what The CW has dubbed a “form of concealment”.
“I don’t think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se. Oliver, in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver’s advice and he’s got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume.”
It’s no spoiler, of course, to say that Oliver isn’t gone for good and this new trailer gives us a hint of what brings him and Felicity Soak back to Star(ling) City: in short, new big bad Damien Darkh (Neal McDonough). Perhaps more exciting than that, though, is the first look we get at Matt Ryan reprising his role as John Constantine for an episode.
Season 4 of Arrow will premiere in the US on Wednesday 7th October, with an UK air date of Wednesday 14th October, just one week later, on Sky 1. Don’t have Sky? The show will be available to watch online legally through VOD service NOW: users can stream Sky 1, Sky Atlantic, FOX and other channels both live and post-broadcast for £6.99 a month, no contract.
Which means there’s only one question left: what will Diggle’s super hero name be? Answers on a postcard below…
