Ben Kingsley and Oscar Isaac are heading to Netflix with their next film, Operation Final.
The movie, which is produced by MGM and Automatik Production, was released in the US last month, but will head straight to Netflix in the UK, joining recent releases such as Annihilation and The Cloverfield Paradox. Now, a trailer released by Netflix gives us our first taste at what to expect.
The movie stars the Oscar winning Kingsley and Golden Globe winning Isaac and charts the daring mission to capture Adolf Eichmann, one of the chief architects of the Holocaust. Set 15 years after WWII, it follows Peter Malkin (Isaac), the head of Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad and security agency Shin Bet, who leads the raid to capture the notorious Eichmann (Kingsley), who had been reported dead in the chaos following Nazi Germany’s collapse, but was, in fact, living and working in a suburb of Buenos Aires under an assumed identity along with his wife and two sons.
Monitoring his daily routine, Malkin and his operatives plot and execute the abduction under the cover of darkness just a few feet from Eichmann’s home, determined to sneak him out of Argentina to stand trial in Israel.
The film is directed by Chris Weitz (A Better Life, About a Boy) from a screenplay by Matthew Orton and premieres internationally directly on Netflix on Friday 3rd October.

Netflix to release Operation Finale in UK
18th September 2018
Netflix will release Operation Finale in the UK, we can confirm.
The film, which stars Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Schindler’s List) and Golden Globe winner Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Ex Machina), details the daring and brilliantly executed mission to capture Adolf Eichmann, one of the chief architects of the Holocaust.
Produced by MGM and Automatik Production, the film is set 15 years after the end of World War II, when Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad and security agency Shin Bet – led by the tireless and heroic agent Peter Malkin (Isaac) – launched a daring top-secret raid to capture the notorious Eichmann (Kingsley), who had been reported dead in the chaos following Nazi Germany’s collapse but was, in fact, living and working in a suburb of Buenos Aires under an assumed identity along with his wife and two sons.
Monitoring his daily routine, Malkin and his operatives plot and execute the abduction under the cover of darkness just a few feet from Eichmann’s home. Determined to sneak him out of Argentina to stand trial in Israel, Malkin and Eichmann engage in an intense and gripping game of cat-and-mouse.
Operation Finale is directed by Chris Weitz (A Better Life, About a Boy) from a screenplay by Matthew Orton. Oscar Isaac produced together with Jason Spire, along with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Fred Berger under their Automatik company.
Now, following its release in US cinemas on 29th August, the film will premiere internationally directly on Netflix on Friday 3rd October.
