Netflix has snapped up the worldwide rights to the Sundance hit Fair Play.
Starring Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgeton), Alden Ehrenreich (Solo: A Star Wars Story, Hail Caesar!) and Eddie Marsan (Happy-Go-Lucky), the film follows a young couple whose relationship is pushed to the brink by unexpected promotion at a cutthroat hedge fund, threatening to unravel far more than their recent engagement.
Written and directed by Chloe Domont, the film is Domont’s feature film debut after making a name for herself directing shorts and episodes of Billions, Suits and Ballers.
It is produced by MRC, with produces including Leopold Hughes and Ben LeClaire from T-Street, Tim White, Trevor White, Allan Mandelbaum from Star Thrower Entertainment, plus Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman from T-Street exec-producing. Fair Play is the first film to come out of the deal that T-Street’s Rian Johnson and Ram Bergman made with MRC to hatch vehicles with emerging talent.
