Netflix renews Queer Eye for Season 6
13th March 2020
Netflix has renewed Queer Eye for Season 6 before its fifth season has even premiered.
The Emmy Award-winning series was revived by Netflix in 2018, introducing audiences around the world to a modern aesthetic, diverse perspectives and a brand new Fab Five: Antoni Porowski (Food & Wine), Bobby Berk (Interior Design), Jonathan Van Ness (Grooming), Karamo Brown (Culture) and Tan France (Fashion).
Netflix has swiftly doubled down on the success of the show, with Season 3 and 4 picking up with the gang in Kansas City, followed by a Japanese special and a fifth run in Philadelphia. Now, they’re headed to Austin, Texas, for a sixth season, which brings the quintet back to their southern roots to scour the prairie for heroes in need of TLC.
The early renewal arrives as France has seen his presence at Netflix grow, co-hosting the runway reality contest Next in Fashion. Season 5 of Queer Eye will drop on Netflix this summer.
