Netflix renews Elite for Season 5

Netflix has renewed Elite for Season 5 before Season 4 has even premiered.
The series, written by Carlos Montero (The Time in Between) and Darío Madrona (Génesis), takes place in Las Encinas, the best and most exclusive school in Spain, where the elite send their children to study. It’s also where three working class kids were admitted after their academy collapsed, only for a dead body to turn up. Season 2 saw the class grow in size, and Season 3 once again introduced new pupils Yeray and Malick, played by Leiti Sene and Sergio Momo.
A few months after that third run debuted, Netflix has confirmed that the series would be back on our screens for a fourth season of murder and/or mystery, but minus several familiar faces. Nadia (Mina El Hammani), Lu (Danna Paola Lucrecia), Carla (Ester Expósito), Polo (Álvaro Rico) and Valerio (Jorge López) will not return for Season 4, all characters who were in the show from either Season 1 or 2. Characters who will return include Samuel (Itzan Escamilla), Guzman (Miguel Bernardeau), Ander (Arón Piper), Omar (Omar Ayuso), Rebe (Claudia Salas) and Cayetana (Georgina Amorós).
But before we’ve even got a look at the fourth run, Netflix has already greenlit another term, with Valentina Zenere (Soy Luna) and André Lamoglia (Juacas) enrolling for lessons.
