All heart, no filter. That’s Netflix’s Chicago Party Aunt in a nutshell.
The half-hour comedy, based on the Twitter account of the same name, is created by Chris Witaske, whose Twitter account inspired the show, along with Jon Barinholtz, and Rich. All three will serve as executive producers alongside Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen of 23/34, Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz of Olive Bridge Entertainment, and Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. Titmouse is the animation studio on the series, having worked with Netflix before on Big Mouth. Matt Craig is on board as showrunner.
The first eight episodes arrive on 17th September. Here’s the trailer:

Netflix orders Chicago Party Aunt animated series

Netflix has given a series order to Chicago Party Aunt, an adult animated series based on the Twitter account of the same name.
The half-hour series is created by Chris Witaske, whose Twitter account inspired the show, along with Jon Barinholtz, and Rich. All three will serve as executive producers alongside Ike Barinholtz and Dave Stassen of 23/34, Will Gluck and Richie Schwartz of Olive Bridge Entertainment, and Chris Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina of Titmouse. The voice cast includes Witaske but also a host of other names, including RuPaul Charles, Rory O’Malley, Jill Talley, Ike Barinholtz, Jon Barinholtz, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Katie Rich. Leading the ensemble is Lauren Ash as the voice of Diane Dunbrowski, aka The Chicago Party Aunt herself, who aims to stay true to her mantra: “If life gives you lemons, turn that shit into Mike’s Hard Lemonade.”
Netflix has greenlit 16 episodes, split into two parts: the first half will arrive on 17th September.
