Nashville has a found a new UK TV home for Season 4: Sky Living.
ABC’s hit US series, produced by Lionsgate, ABC Studios and Gaylord Entertainment, has won a sizeable fanbase over recent years, thanks to its blend of country music and character drama.
The show first premiered in the UK on More4 before moving to E4, but now, Nashville has moved from Freeview altogether, with Sky acquiring the fourth instalment of the show for a premiere this summer.
For the uninitiated, Callie Khouri’s programme stars Golden Globe award nominated actresses Connie Britton (24, The West Wing) as legendary country music superstar Rayna James and Hayden Panettiere (Heroes) as thriving younger star Juliette Barnes.
“We are delighted to offer our viewers such an entertaining and captivating drama series as Nashville. With this exciting debut, Sky Living is giving its customers even more of the addictive storylines and strong, confident characters they love to watch,” says Adam MacDonald, Director of Sky 1 and Sky Living.
Indeed, the acquisition of Nashville follows a string of deals for Sky Living, which is now home to series such as Scandal, Elementary, The Blacklist, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds and Bones and, most recently, Blindspot.
Not up to speed with Nashville? Sky customers can now catch up on previous seasons of ground-breaking US drama Nashville on Sky Box Sets ahead of the fourth installment landing this summer.
Not got Sky? That’s not a problem either, with Sky’s streaming service NOW offering non-customers access to both live channels and on-demand content for £6.99 a month. The VOD service includes Sky Living, as well as channels such as Fox (The Walking Dead), Sky Atlantic (Game of Thrones and The Affair) and Sky 1 (Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl). Season 1 and 2 of Nashville are currently available to stream on-demand, with Season 1 leaving both Sky’s box set collection and NOW’s line-up at the end of March 2016.
