Mystery Box: Netflix launches random button for kids

Netflix has introduced a new random button designed specifically for kids, calling it a “Mystery Box”.
What’s in this mystery box? One day, it might be Ada Twist. Another day, it might be Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Or perhaps it’s a few feline friends from Gabby’s Dollhouse. The new feature is available in the Netflix app on TVs around the world and aims to provide a fun and safe space for kids to discover new series and films recommended for them or reconnect with a familiar face.
To open the Mystery Box, log in to a kids profile and go to Favorites Row at the top of the homepage.
The kid-friendly random button is one of several features rolled out over the past year, such as a Kids Top 10 Row, and a bi-weekly recap emails to give parents a better understanding of their child’s preferences and viewing activity, including recommendations and printable colouring sheets and activities. Netflix has beefed up its parental controls too.
