STARZPLAY has renewed Men in Kilts for Season 2.
The Outlander-inspired series sees stars Sam Heughan (Bloodshot, The Spy Who Dumped Me) and Graham McTavish (Preacher, The Hobbit Trilogy) team up for a docuseries that shows us Scotland through the eyes of the duo, as they travel across the country to discover its rich history and heritage.
Produced by Boardwalk Pictures, in association with Sony Pictures Television, the eight-part buddy travelogue premiered earlier this year, as the Outlander actors met a collection of people who showcased what it means to be Scottish. The half-hour show covered everything from Scottish clans and the Battle of Culloden to whisky tasting and folk dancing, with Sam and Graham’s banter and hijinks leading the way.
Heughan and McTavish conceived the original idea and serve as executive producers alongside Alexander Norouzi, Andrew Fried, Dane Lillegard and Kevin Johnston who also serves as director. Now, they’re reuniting for a second road trip, this time heading to New Zealand.
They will revel in the Scottish influence of New Zealand, while diving into its own history. The series will premiere in the UK once again on STARZPLAY, which will become the UK TV home of Outlander next year for Season 6.
Men in Kilts is available to watch online in the UK on STARZPLAY, a streaming service that costs £4.99 a month. The platform is available on iOS, Android, Apple TV and Virgin Media On Demand or through Amazon Prime Video Channels, as an add-on subscription to your existing account.
