Mark Watson to stream 24-hour online comedy show

Mark Watson is readying to stream another online marathon cartoon show.
The comic, who has appeared on Mock the Week, Taskmaster and more, has long been a veteran at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Melbourne Festivals, not least because of his tendency to host marathon shows that last an absurd number of hours.
In May this year, he repeated the feat online to raise money for charity, and the Watsonathon raised £45,000 over the course of a single, entire day. Now, he’s doing another 24-hour showcase which promises to be “bigger and better” and feature “every funny person on the globe he can persuade to help”. It will raise money for two different charities: Turn 2 Us – which helps people in financial hardship all over the UK – and the Comedian Support Act, which supports performers in time of need.
Watson said on his Twitch account: “Even the smallest financial donation towards this nonsense extravaganza makes a difference to people’s lives. And stops me from going mad, or madder than I will anyway.”
The 24-hour show will run from 9pm 30th October until the same time on 31st October. Tickets are pay-what-you-can donations. It will be available live – and then afterwards on-demand – through Twitch at his channel: Twitch.TV/WatsonComedy.
