Line of Separation: Jonas Nay returns to Walter Presents this June

Fans of Deutschland ’83 will be delighted to see Jonas Nay return to Walter Presents this June, with the premiere of his latest series, Line of Separation.
The gripping German drama explores how the tensions of the Second World War and the subsequent Cold War impinged on seemingly united communities. It is a sensitive exploration of homegrown resistance to the Third Reich in Germany, and how real lives were afflicted by the impersonal approach of both the American and Russian Armed forces.
Based on the true story of Mödlareuth, which was cruelly divided down the middle between the regimes of the East and West, we witness the town being stricken by the unrelenting force Nazi officers, liberated by the Americans and later seized by the Russians. But the lives of the inhabitants must go on, and they cannot be held hostage by the rules that govern them. Will one ideology prove to be the key to a successful society, or are they both as bad as each other?
The series, known as Tannbach in its home country, first premiered back in 2015, going on to win an impressive number of awards both in Germany and internationally, including Best Actor (Jonas Nay), Best Actress (Henriette Confurius) at the German Television Awards and Best Foreign TV Series at the Shanghai International TV Festival.
The whole box set will be released in the UK on Walter Presents on Friday 1st June, with all three episodes available on All 4.
