Netflix’s adaptation of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is officially a go, with Leslye Headland hitched to the project.

The bestselling novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid follows Evelyn Hugo, an aging Hollywood starlet, who – in a long-awaited interview with a young journalist – pulls back the curtain on her seven marriages, and as she tells tales of Hollywood scandals, betrayals, and woe, she unveils shocking truths about her own life and the lives of everyone around her.

The film is written by Liz Tigelaar (Tiny Beautiful Things, Little Fires Everywhere) with Leslye Headland (The Acolyte, Russian Doll, Sleeping with Other People, Bachelorette) at the helm.

Producers include Liza Chasin for 3Dot Productions and Brad Mendelsohn for Circle of Confusion, with exec-produces including Taylor Jenkins Reid and Margaret Chernin.
