Trailer: Marvel’s Secret Invasion lands this June

“Since you’ve been gone things have gotten much worse…“ “Why do you think I came back?“ That’s the sound of Nick Fury returning to our screens in Secret Invasion, and a new trailer gives us first look at the series in action.
Pitched as an espionage thriller, the series is in the present day MCU, when Nick Fury learns of a clandestine invasion of Earth by a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls. Fury joins his allies, including Everett Ross, Maria Hill and the Skrull Talos, who has made a life for himself on Earth. Together they race against time to thwart an imminent Skrull invasion and save humanity.
Ali Selim directs the series and executive-produces, along with fellow executive producers Kevin Feige, Jonathan Schwartz, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Samuel L. Jackson, Ali Selim, Kyle Bradstreet and Brian Tucker. Kyle Bradstreet is also the head writer, and Jennifer L. Booth, Allana Williams and Brant Englestein serve as co-executive producers.
Samuel L. Jackson is joined on screen by Ben Mendelsohn, Cobie Smulders, Martin Freeman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Charlayne Woodard, Killian Scott, Samuel Adewunmi, Dermot Mulroney, Christopher McDonald and Katie Finneran, with Emilia Clarke and Olivia Colman, plus Don Cheadle.

“For years, you’ve been avoiding Earth…” “Well, this is different.” That’s the sound of Nick Fury returning to our screens for Marvel’s Secret Invasion – and a new trailer gives us a first look at the thriller in action.
The show will see Samuel L Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn reunite after Captain Marvel for a small-screen adventure, as former SHIELD director Nick Fury and Talos team up to investigate a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami, The OA) and Olivia Colman (The Favourite) will join them, alongside Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) and a host of returning MCU faces: Martin Freeman as agent Everett K Ross, Don Cheadle as Colonel James “Rhodey” Rhodes — aka War Machine – and Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill.

Emilia Clarke to join Secret Invasion at Disney+

Emilia Clarke is in final talks to join the cast of Marvel series Secret Invasion at Disney+.
The show will see Samuel L Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn reunite after Captain Marvel for a small-screen adventure, as former SHIELD director Nick Fury and Talos team up to investigate a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years.
The show is one of many Marvel projects in the works at Disney+, as the House of Mouse races to expand the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Jackson and Mendelsohn reprising their roles from Captain Marvel is reason enough to attract fan attention, the series has been rapidly building up an impressive, star-studded cast list, including Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami, The OA) and Olivia Colman (The Favourite).
Now, Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke is reportedly in final negotiations to join them. Clarke is no stranger to the Disney world, having previously starred in Solo: A Star Wars Story.
Kingsley Ben-Adir to star in Marvel’s Secret Invasion

Kingsley Ben-Adir is joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with the One Night in Miami star joining Disney+ series Secret Invasion.
Ben-Adir is enjoying an impressive screen run, with his role as Malcolm X in Regina King’s drama contributing to an ensemble cast nomination at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. On the small screen, he’s most recently impressed in Soulmates, High Fidelity, Peaky Blinders and The OA. Now, he’s been snapped up by Marvel for its upcoming crossover event series Secret Invasion.
The show will see Samuel L Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn reunite after Captain Marvel for a small-screen adventure, as former SHIELD director Nick Fury and Talos team up to investigate a faction of shapeshifting Skrulls who have been infiltrating Earth for years. Deadline reports that Ben-Adir will play a lead villain, although Disney has not yet confirmed this.
The series was announced late last year, as part of a trio of new series, including Armor Wars, starring Don Cheadle as War Machine, and Ironheart, starring Dominique Thorne as genius inventor Riri Williams.
