David Farnor | On 27, Apr 2019
Get ready to go back to Chicago for one last time this May, as Joe Swanberg’s Easy returns for a third and final season.
The anthology series features some new faces as well as many returning fan favourite characters, all of whom are navigating the modern maze of love, sex, technology, and culture in the same city.
“Less like a TV show and more like serial eavesdropping, Joe Swanberg’s wonderfully intimate anthology is easy to watch,” we wrote in our review of Season 1.
The new season stars Zazie Beetz, Sophia Bush, Aya Cash, Michael Chernus, Kiersey Clemons, Dave Franco, John Gallagher Jr., Jake Johnson, Evan Jonigkeit, Melanie Lynskey, Marc Maron, Kate Micucci, Gugu Mbatha Raw, Elizabeth Reaser, Jaz Sinclair, Kali Skrap, and Jacqueline Toboni.
“The support, flexibility and trust that Netflix provided, combined with their global reach, made this a completely unique experiment. The fact that I was able to collaborate with so many of my favorite actors took an already dreamy experience to the next level. I couldn’t be more proud of the new season and I can’t wait to share it,” said Swanberg of Season 3.
Easy Season 3 premieres on Friday 10th May on Netflix. Here’s the video:

First Look: Easy returns to Netflix for Season 3
30th March 2019
Joe Swanberg’s Easy will return to Netflix this May for its third and final season.
The anthology series, which first premiered in 2016, serves up snapshots of Chicago life across a range of standalone stories, as people fumble through the modern maze of love, sex, technology and culture.
Written and directed by Swanberg, the show’s cast has included everyone from Orlando Bloom, Malin Akerman and Marc Maron to Dave Franco, Hannibal Buress, Emily Ratajkowski, Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Jake Johnson.
The project was renewed for a second run, which premiered at the end of 2017 – and now, to bid farewell to the unique ensemble of stories and characters, Easy returns one last time this spring.
“Easy has been the most exciting and important project of my career. The anthology format allowed me to explore a range of stories and characters, but small moments of incidental overlap, or deep relationships between characters, connected the episodes enough that we were able to build a fictional community rooted in a real Chicago,” says Swanberg.

The fact that I was able to collaborate with so many of my favorite actors took an already dreamy experience to the next level.
