jeen-Yuhs: Netflix announces Kanye docuseries

Netflix will paint an in-depth portrait of Kanye West in a new documentary series.
Called jeen-Yuhs, the documentary is split into three parts – Vision, Purpose and Awakening – and aims to paint an intimate and revealing portrait of Kanye West’s experience, showcasing both his formative days trying to break through and his life today as a global brand and artist.
From Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah (ESPN 30 for 30’s Benji and the “Jesus Walks” music video), jeen-yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy promises never-before-seen footage and behind-the-scenes access to Ye over the course of his career, shot and edited over a 20-year period. It will particularly hone in on West’s time as a young Chicago rap producer on the brink of fame and follow him as he finds his voice, with appearances from Jay Z, Pharrell and more.
The series will premiere on 16th February on Netflix, with each part arriving weekly. Here’s a teaser:
