Jamie Bell and Margaret Qualley will be Fred & Ginger in Amazon’s new biopic of the iconic dancing duo.

The movie will take us behind the beloved stage personas of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, telling the untold story between the legends on and off the screen, from what drove them as individuals to what sparked the creative chemistry between them.

Jonathan Entwistle will direct the biopic based off a script by Arash Amel, reports Deadlinet. Entwistle created Netflix series I Am Not Okay with This and co-created The End of the F***ing World for Channel 4, while Arash is about to debut Outside the Wire, a sci-fi thriller starring Anthony Mackie, on Netflix.

Together, that talent behind the camera has proven enough to snare Jamie Bell for their leading man. Bell comes to the project fresh from another biopic, Rocketman. HE will be joined by Qualley, who is filming Netflix’s new series Maid and recently appeared in another sort-of biopic, Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
