IMDb TV UK launches 15 “live” channels

IMDb TV is expanding its streaming presence with the launch of 15 “live” channels.
In an on-demand age, where linear broadcast schedules are increasingly left behind in favour of watching on viewers’ own schedules, there’s also a market for people seeking an old-fashioned linear option – Shudder, for example, has its own “Shudder TV” channel as part of its streaming service, which provides a constant, 24/7 stream of titles from its library as if it’s a live TV broadcast.
Now, IMDb TV is following suit, with 15 channels joining its platform. Owned by Amazon, and available through the Amazon Prime Video app and as an app on Fire TV devices, IMDb TV is a streaming service that provides titles for free, but with adverts. As well as film and TV shows available on-demand, its new channels will either stream a selection of themed titles or cycle through one programme repeatedly.
