A gang war spans multiple generations in Fenix, the new series from Walter Presents.
The online channel, dedicated to showcasing TV from around the world, continues to unearth the best of the Netherlands with the thriller, which charts the aftermath a war between two violent drug gangs in the quiet town of Brabant.
Our focus is on the children of the two leading men involved, struggling to piece together the mess their fathers created. When the daughter of Jos Segers, leader of the town’s gypsy gang, is kidnapped by rival gang leader Gideon, Jos sets up a deal with police chief Peter Haag to put Gideon behind bars. But Gideon isn’t the only one being played; the plan ends in disaster and Gideon’s daughter and Jos’ son, both estranged from their families, return to Brabant with their lives now perpetually entwined. Slowly, they are drawn back into the town’s complicated criminal past which forces them to remember exactly why they left in the first place. This time, will there be any escape?
Viewers may recognise lead actress Rifka Lodeizen from The Adulterer, one of the most-watched series on Walter Presents. She is joined by Teun Luijkx, Hans Dagelet and Jack Wouterse, with Shariff Korver on writing duties.
The full eight-episode boxset will be available to stream exclusively on Walter Presents from 21st February.
