Trailer: Kung Panda: The Dragon Knight arrives this July

“Once again, hear tell of Po…” That’s the sound of Jack Black returning to our screens as Kung Fu Panda gets a new Netflix series.
From DreamWorks Animation, the show will see Po (Black) leave his home when a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on four powerful weapons. He goes on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice, teaming up with an English knight called Wandering Blade (Rita Ora). Together, these two mismatched warriors set out on an epic adventure to find the magical weapons first and save the world from destruction.
The series is exec-produced by Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian and co-exec-produced by Chris Amick and Ben Mekler. Black, who has played Po in all three films since 2008’s Kung Fu Panda, will once again reprise his role as the lead panda.

Jack Black will step back into the shoes of Po, everyone’s favourite kung fu panda, for a new Netflix series.
More than five years after Kung Fu Panda 3, Netflix is bringing back the franchise for the animated series Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight.
From DreamWorks Animation, the show will see Po (Black) leave his home when a mysterious pair of weasels set their sights on four powerful weapons. He goes on a globe-trotting quest for redemption and justice, teaming up with an English knight called Wandering Blade. The series is exec-produced by Peter Hastings and Shaunt Nigoghossian and co-exec-produced by Chris Amick and Ben Mekler.
Black, who has played Po in all three films since 2008’s Kung Fu Panda, will once again reprise his role as the lead panda. The series is not the first spin-off from the animated franchise, with Nickelodeon previously airing Legends of Awesomeness and Amazon Prime Video streaming The Paws of Destiny.
