Dennis Quaid stars in Fortitude tourism video

“You’ll feel so at home, you’ll never leave,” says Dennis Quaid of Fortitude, in a creepily cheerful new video.
In the video, the esteemed actor reminisces about his favourite holiday destination in the remote wilds of the Arctic. “How can the coldest place on earth create such warm memories?” he asks, sitting in front of a flickering log fire, with an eerie cosiness that recalls Twin Peaks.
Sky Atlantic’s drama may not match up to David Lynch’s classic, but it was the most successful Sky original drama to date when it premiered in 2015, although Westworld has since surpassed its viewing figures. Season 2 of the show will begin on Thursday 26th January, with Quaid joining returning cast members Sofie Gråbøl (The Killing) and Richard Dormer (Game of Thrones).
The ambitious horror thriller is from the makers of the BAFTA winning Marvellous, Fifty Fathoms, and is co-produced by Pivot.
Not seen Fortitude? You can watch with Season 1 on Sky Box Sets. Don’t have Sky? You can also binge-watch it – and watch Season 2 live and on-demand – through NOW, which costs £6.99 a month, with no contract. Catch up with reviews of Fortitude Season 1 here.

First look at Dennis Quaid and Michelle Fairley in Fortitude Season 2 clip
23rd August 2016
Fortitude returns next year for a second season, with Dennis Quaid (Innerspace, Far From Heaven) and Michelle Fairley (Game of Thrones, Resurrection) joining the cast.
Set against a backdrop of icy wilderness, Sky Atlantic’s thriller saw the titular Arctic town face a spooky blend of murder, corruption and something altogether more paranormal. Soon, the tight-knit community of Fortitude will be rocked again, as a fresh murder plunges the residents into turmoil. This new clip gives us a first look at Quaid’s character, who discovers Fairley’s character collapsed in the snow and refuses to accept medical help for a mystery condition.
Fans will have to wait and see how their lives intersect with the other cast members, including featuring additional newcomers Parminder Nagra (The Blacklist), Ken Stott (The Missing), and Robert Sheehan (Misfits).
The footage was first hidden within a 360-degree gigapixel image of New York, along with other prizes, to celebrate the launch of the NOW Combo, the UK’s first contract-free triple play bundle, offering Sky TV, unlimited broadband and a range of call packages without a contract. Indeed, the new season of Fortitude premieres Sky Atlantic in January 2017, when it will be available for non-Sky customers to watch online, contract-free, with a NOW Entertainment Month Pass, which costs £6.99 a month. Season 1 is currently available to stream.
