Netflix has released the first image from Aziz Ansari’s new Netflix series.
The show, titled Master of None, will see the comedian reunite with Parks and Recreation executive producer Mike Schur. Indeed, the comedian has won over audiences worldwide with his supporting role as Tom Haverford in NBC’s sitcom, but Aziz is no stranger to the VOD service either: he already has stand-up shows available to stream under Netflix’s original banner.
The series will be written and directed by Ansari and is based on his comedic viewpoints of life. It follows the personal and professional life of Dev, a 30-year-old actor in New York who has trouble deciding what he wants to eat, much less the pathway for the rest of his life.
The show was created by Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang who also serve as executive producers along with Schur, Dave Becky, and David Miner.
Netflix promises the series will tackle such issues as ageism, sex, relationships, racism and – most importantly – tacos. What does a show with such variety look like, exactly? Here’s the first image, feature Ansari and Noel Well, to give you a clue:
All 10 episodes of Master of None will be released on Netflix worldwide on Friday 6th November.
