Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney will star in Nocturne, a new film from Amazon Studios and Blumhouse TV.
The online giant recently inked a multi-picture deal with the breakout horror producer, which has been behind such hits as Creep and Get Out. The agreement will see Blumhouse produce eight movies from emerging filmmakers for Amazon Studios, and the first is already coming together.
The supernatural thriller follows a talented pianist who makes a Faustian bargain to do better than her older sister at a prestigious classical music school.
Sydney Sweeney, who played Cassie Howard in Euphoria, and also appeared HBO’s Sharp Objects (produced by Blumhouse TV), will co-star alongside Annabelle Comes Home and Jumanji: The Next Level’s Madison Iseman. Also joining the cast are Jacques Colimon from Netflix’s The Society) and Ivan Shaw from Hulu’s Casual.
British-Irish filmmaker Zu Quirke will write and direct the film, marking her feature helming debut. Jason Blum, Lisa Bruce, Marci Wiseman and Jeremy Gold are producing, with Matthew Myers and Fodhla Cronin O’Reilly on board as executive producers.
