Avengers: Endgame claims a third week at Number 1 on the UK’s Official Film Chart, landing just short of half a million sales in one week, thanks to its release on physical formats – it shifted a massive 494,000 total copies.

Pokémon Detective Pikachu is the highest new entry in the only weekly chart in the world to count both physical disc and digital download sales. The hyper-realistic live-action Pokémon film claimed the second spot on digital downloads alone. It stars Ryan Reynolds as the eponymous character, when ace detective Harry Goodman goes mysteriously missing, prompting his son Tim (Justice Smith) to team up with Harry’s former Pokémon partner to find out what happened – uncovering a shocking plot that could threaten the whole Pokémon universe.

Another new entry on digital downloads at Number 3 is John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, as Keanu Reeves revives his role as the former hitman. In this third instalment of the action-thriller series, John Wick is on the run following the unsanctioned killing of a crime lord. It misses out on highest new entry honours by just under 700 sales.

With It Chapter Two in cinemas, It (2017) climbs two places to Number 4, as fans turn to discs and digital downloads to catch up. On a similar note, The Avengers box set containing the four-film series – Avengers Assemble, Avengers: Age Of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame – debuts at Number 5. Another Avenger is also at 6, with Captain Marvel spending her tenth week on the chart.

Brand new at Number 7 on digital downloads alone, Anne Hathaway and Rebel Wilson join forces in the comedy crime caper The Hustle. The pair star as scam artists who team up to exact revenge on all the men who have scorned them.

Hellboy, meanwhile, is down six places at Number 8, and Shazam is at Number 9. Finally, romantic comedy Long Shot starring Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen zooms up 17 places to Number 10, boosted by its disc release.
