Drag Race UK Season 3 set for autumn release
20th July 2021
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK is returning to our screens for a third season – and much sooner than you expect.
The BBC Three series showcases the most fabulous drag queens that the UK has to offer, as RuPaul searches for the UK’s Next Drag Race Superstar. Season 1 was a hit, with more than 15.8 million requests on BBC iPlayer. Season 2 was another triumph, thanks to the combustible combination of queens including Tayce, Lawrence Chaney, Bimini Bon Boulash, Ginny Lemon and Ellie Diamond.
A third season was never in doubt, but now, BBC Three has confirmed that Season 3 will arrive this autumn, back in line with the first season’s release in October 2019, after Season 2 didn’t air until January this year. You can expect Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr to once again be part of the judging panel. There’s also a chance that Veronica Green may return for Season 3, after having to leave the show during Season 2 after testing positive for coronavirus and being given an open invitation for a Season 3 slot.
