Dogwoof offers digital SuperTicket for Cartel Land cinema release

Cartel Land is released in UK cinemas today and Dogwoof is offering digital SuperTickets to those who see the film in the first week of its run.
Dogwoof, which has established itself as both a leader in the documentary and digital sectors, is one of the first to offer the innovative distribution model in the UK. The strategy, which is popular in the US, means that all cinema-goers in the first week of the film’s release will receive a unique code with their cinema ticket, which, when entered on the film’s website, entitles them to a free download of the film plus exclusive bonus material.
The price of the SuperTicket will be the same as a standard cinema ticket in each cinema, but will include an iTunes extras package of the film, as well as the movie itself. Both will be gifted on Tuesday 6th October, when Cartel Land hits digital platforms.
Oli Harbottle, Head of Distribution at Dogwoof, comments: “It is great to be trialling something truly innovative in terms of a distribution strategy with our SuperTicket initiative for Cartel Land, especially as the model has been shown to work to great success in the US.”
The film, directed by Matthew Heineman and executive produced by Kathryn Bigelow, is a harrowing look at the journeys of two modern-day vigilante groups and their shared enemy – the murderous Mexican drug cartels.
