Dark Days at the Magna Carta: Blake Lively to star and produce in Netflix thriller

Blake Lively is headed to Netflix for the new thriller Dark Days at the Magna Carta.
The post-apocalyptic tale is written by Michael Paisley, who has served as writer’s PA on The Witcher and whose Dollhouse horror spec was snapped up by STXfilms. His latest is reportedly a character-driven story centred on a woman who must take extreme measures during a catastrophic event to save her family.
The premise and part have been enough to attract the attention of Blake Lively, who is attached to star in the thriller and also produce it. She is producing under her B for Effort label, alongside Kate Vorhoff and Stranger Things veteran Shawn Levy, who will produce with his 21 Laps partner Dan Cohen
That combination of talent has, in turn, caught Netflix’s eye, with the streamer snapping up the rights to the film this week. More details as we have them.
