Curzon Home Cinema launches upgraded apps for Android and iOS

Curzon Home Cinema is now available on Android, as the VOD service launches brand new mobile apps.
The Curzon Player app, available now to download for both iOS and Android devices, gives users an improved viewing experience, as it allows them to watch Curzon Home Cinema titles through the app itself, rather than through the website. Users can still search and purchase films via their mobile web browser, but will need to have downloaded Curzon Player to watch rented films on the go. The app still uses streaming to deliver its films, rather than downloads, however, so users will need to be connected to the internet to view their titles.
The revamped layout links the app more closely with the recently relaunched Curzon Home Cinema site, with any rented titles available through the My Films option on the main menu. Users can now view film synopses and utilise the same pause and playback functions that the Curzon Home Cinema website and TV app service offer.
Curzon’s VOD platform offers films from its own labels, such as Artificial Eye, as well as other independent distributors. For art house titles that are not available to stream, users can also check cinema times to see if it is showing at their local Curzon.
