Clip: The Maze Runner behind-the-scenes

The Maze Runner is out now on DVD and VOD in the UK. Based on the trilogy of books by James Dashner, it looks like another young adult franchise waiting to milk its eager audience for money, but from the intriguing sci-fi set-up (a gang of kids trapped in a giant maze) to the freakish monsters hiding between the moving walls, it plays less like The Hunger Games and more like Cube for kids.
To celebrate the release, we’ve got our hands on a behind-the-scenes clip from the making of the film, which shows director Wes Ball in action.
What’s the secret to marshalling a group of boys and getting them to run around with sticks for weeks on end? It turns out the answer is funny noises. And it’s not just Wes who’s making them: it’s Will Poulter too. And Ki Hong Lee. And the rest of the cast. So if you’re curious to get a glimpse of the off-camera goings-on during the production, or just want to see that kid from We’re The Millers pretending to be a monster, here’s the video.
