Channel 4 has picked up the UK TV rights to Nine Perfect Strangers.
The eight-episode Hulu series based on Liane Moriarty’s bestselling book, premiered on Amazon Prime Video last summer. The drama is set at a boutique resort which promises healing and transformation to nine stressed city dwellers. Watching over them during the ten-day retreat is resort director Masha (Nicole Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies. However, these nine perfect strangers have no idea what is about to hit them.
Directed by David E Kelley (Big Little Lies, The Undoing), the co-stars Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, Melvin Gregg, Asher Keddie and Grace Van Patten.
“This star-studded adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s gripping mystery is funny, moving and deliciously weird,” we wrote in our review.
Now, Channel 4 has picked up the rights to the series, with the drama launching on free-to-air TV on 28th September 10pm. Episodes will then be available to catch up with on All 4 following their weekly broadcast. The full box set remains available on Amazon Prime Video.
