It’s only a month until Star Wars opens a new chapter and a new trailer gives us another look at The Book of Boba Fett.
Teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, the series finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.
Starring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen, the series premieres on Wednesday 29th December on Disney+, with episodes arriving weekly. Until then, you can see them in action in this new video, which places an emphasis on the criminal underworld Boba Fett will be navigating.

Watch: First trailer for The Book of Boba Fett
1st November 2021
It’s only a matter of weeks until Boba Fett is back on our screens in his very own Disney+ series, and a new trailer gives us a first look at what a solo Boba series looks like.
The live-action spin-off from The Mandalorian was first teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale. It continues the adventures of Boba and Fennec Shand as they navigate the underworld and stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate. The plan, as the trailer makes clear, is to rule through unity and respect rather than force and domination – whether that’s actually possible or not is another matter entirely.
The Book of Boba Fett stars Temuera Morrison, reprising his role as the bounty hunter, and Ming-Na Wen, also reprising her role as the mercenary Fennec Shand.
Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.
The series will premiere on Wednesday 29th December on Disney+. Here’s the trailer:

Boba Fett spin-off series on the way to Disney+
21st December 2020
A Boba Fett series is on the way to Disney+, following his appearance in The Mandalorian.
Disney+’s smash hit Star Wars series takes Western genre thrills to a galaxy far, far away, following a lone gunslinger on the outer reaches of the galaxy after the fall of the Empire in Episode VI. Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones) plays the bounty hunter, reprising his lead role for Season 2 alongside “the Child” (aka “Baby Yoda”), legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and fan-favorite Ahsoka Tano, making her live-action debut.
The Mandalorian has become a flagship project for the subscription streaming service and, while there was talk recently of a slowdown in the amount of Star Wars titles being produced, the growth and success of Disney+ has perhaps led to other ideas, with a host of new shows given the green light. Indeed, Ahsoka Tano’s story, written by Dave Filoni, will continue in a limited Disney+ series titled Ahsoka, starring Rosario Dawson and executive produced by Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau. Rangers of the New Republic is also on the way. Set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, the live-action series from executive producers Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will intersect with future stories and culminate into a climactic story event.
Now, Boba’s getting his own solo outing too, with the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian teasing “The Book of Boba Fett” in a post-credits sting. It will star Morrison and Ming-Na Wen, who plays bounty hunter Fennec Shand, and will be executive produced by Favreau and Dave Filoni, along with director Robert Rodriguez, who helmed the episode of Season 2 that heavily featured Boba and Fennec in action.
Also set within the timeline of The Mandalorian, the show will follow Boba after the events of Season 2, which revealed that the bounty hunter had survived falling into the Pit of the Sarlacc in Return of the Jedi. The news comes after the tragic passing of Jeremy Bulloch, the original actor who played Boba on the big screen.
The Book of Boba Fett will premiere on Disney+ in 2021. Production is now underway.
