blinkbox launches new “Fresh from cinema” adverts

If blinkbox is about to be sold by Tesco, no one appears to have told them: the company announced a new partnership with UltraViolet just a few days ago and has now launched a new advert campaign: “Fresh from cinema”.
The marketing drive is designed to reinforce blinkbox’s position as the home of the freshest movie releases, using a spoof “F” BBFC certificate – standing for “Fresh from cinema” – to highlight the fact that the pay-per-view VOD service offers the latest blockbuster movies to rent and download after their run in the cinemas.
Conceived by creative agency Antidote, the campaign features 30 second TV adverts with an over-the-top voiceover and will also include ads on bus sides, and digital video and display. Media planning and buying was overseen by Arena Media.
The first advert in the campaign is for Godzilla, which is now available to buy to own in HD and SD on the site ahead of its DVD release.
