Black Sails will return to Amazon Prime Video in January 2017 for a fourth and final season.
The last run of the Starz original series, which is a prequel to Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, follows a dramatic Season 3, which set the stage for the rise of John Silver (Luke Arnold) and the potential fall of the pirate way.
“Right now, good men are not what the times require…”
The 10-episode climax will bring the high seas drama to a heroic conclusion, as our pirates prepare for war in the West Indies. A new, gritty trailer for the show presents us a New Providence Island where the shores never been bloodier, but the closer civilisation comes to defeat, the more desperately, and destructively, it will fight back.
Toby Stephens once again reprises his role as Captain Flint, supported by Hannah New as Eleanor Guthrie, Jessica Parker Kennedy as Max, Tom Hopper as Billy Bones, Ray Stevenson as Blackbeard, Luke Roberts as Woodes Rogers, Toby Schmitz as Jack Rackham and Clara Paget Anne Bonny.
The show has long been one of Amazon’s more impressive, if underrated, US TV exclusives, with each episode of the fourth season sailing onto Prime Video within 24 hours of its American broadcast – starting on 30th January.
