Since the end of the summer, comic books fans in the UK have been asking themselves one question: When will DC’s TV shows return to UK TV screens? Well, to be exact, they’ve been asking four questions: When will The Flash Season 5 air in the UK? When will Arrow Season 7 be released? What’s the premiere date for Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Part 2? And when will Supergirl Season 4 air?

We’ve finally got those answers, as Sky One lines up its shows in a weekly schedule, building up to a DC universe crossover series. The UK broadcasts have always been several weeks after the US transmission, leaving British fans dodging spoilers on the web. But the quartet of DC Comics programmes will at least be airing sequentially on weeknights, which means it’s easy to keep up with your favourite of the DC crew – or binge the whole lot every weekend in one super dose.

What’s happening in each show?

Things get political in Supergirl as Star Trek’s Brent Spiner joins the ensemble as vice president to Lynda Carter.

Following the revelations of Season 6, Oliver looks more vulnerable than ever in Arrow’s seventh run.

Having crumbled time, the Waverider crew face droves of magical and mythical creatures in the fourth instalment of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

And Barry’s back with a new suit in Season 4, and a whole lot of baggage, as Supervillain Cicada (American Pie’s Chris Klein) aims to get revenge for his ruined family one metahuman at a time.
