Netflix renews Fubar for Season 2

Netflix has renewed Fubar for a second season.
The action-comedy sees Arnold Schwarzenegger play Luke Brunner, a veteran CIA operative posing as a regular guy who discovers that his daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), has also been undercover for years. When their assignments converge, their father-daughter clash complicates not just a dangerous global mission but also their family dynamic.
“Arnie and Monica Barbaro are a likeable double-act in this familiar but fun spy thriller,” we wrote in our review of Season 1, which premiered last month.
Now, within weeks of that debut, Netflix has ordered a second season, which will catch up with the Brunner family in serious trouble and dealing with a million things.
“Season 2 is bananas,” creator Nick Santora said. “We’re coming up with some real fun surprises.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger to star in Netflix’s FUBAR
28th February 2023
Arnold Schwarzenegger is making his TV debut in new Netflix series FUBAR.
The action-comedy sees the True Lies, Terminator and Predator star play Luke Brunner, a veteran CIA operative posing as a regular guy who discovers that his daughter, Emma (Monica Barbaro), has also been undercover for years. When their assignments converge, their father-daughter clash complicates not just a dangerous global mission but also their family dynamic.
“FUBAR will kick your ass and make you laugh – and not just for two hours,” says Schwarzenegger, who also exec-produces the project. “You get a whole season.”
“FUBAR is, by far, the most surreal project of my career,” adds showrunner and executive producer Nick Santora. “I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger films – I’d hit my dad up for a few bucks so I could race to the movies and see the biggest star in the world on the big screen – so creating the first scripted television project for Arnold is unbelievably exciting for me. The thing I always marvelled at was how Schwarzenegger could be funny while still kicking ass…”
The series premieres on 25th May. Here’s a video to give you a taste of the show:
