Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new spy series is reportedly headed to Netflix.
The project, which was first announced in August, marks the first TV gig for the Terminator star. The hourlong programme will see Arnie star and exec-produce, following a father and daughter on a global spy adventure.
It hails from Skydance TV, which already has a relationship with Netflix, thanks to the sci-fi hit Altered Carbon. Alongside Arnie will be co-star Monica Barbaro (Top Gun: Maverick). With Skydance lining up its two stars before shopping the project around, the result has earned a script-to-series commitment at Netflix, with the deal close to being wrapped up.
The series is created and exec-produced by Nick Sanota, who also serves as showrunner of Amazon Prime Video and Skydance’s Jack Reacher TV series. Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Bill Bost will all exec-produce.
