David Farnor | On 09, Feb 2022
It’s only a matter of days until The Marvelous Mrs Maisel is back on our screens, and a new trailer gives us a closer look at Season 4.
The series stars Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted — the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. But her perfect life suddenly takes an unexpected turn and Midge discovers a previously unknown talent for stand-up comedy – one that changes her life forever.
Season 4 takes us to 1960 and change is in the air. Looking to hone her act, Midge finds a gig with total creative freedom. But her commitment to her craft — and the places it takes her — creates a rift between her and the family and friends around her. The edgy, uncompromising, and hilarious new season includes guest appearances from Kelly Bishop, Milo Ventimiglia, John Waters and Jason Alexander.
You can see them in action on 18th February, when Season 4 debuts on Amazon Prime Video, with two new episodes dropping every Friday for four weeks.

Milo Ventimiglia joins The Marvelous Mrs Maisel Season 4
11th June 2021
Milo Ventimiglia has joined the cast of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel for Season 4.
Ventimiglia is best known for his role as Jack Pearson in This Is Us, but is also an alumnus of Gilmore Girls. It’s perhaps only fitting, then, that he should reunite with creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino for the latest run of their hit Amazon comedy.
The show, for those in the back, stars Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) as Miriam “Midge” Maisel, a 1958 New York City woman who has everything she’s ever wanted — the perfect husband, two kids and an elegant Upper West Side apartment perfect for hosting Yom Kippur dinner. Season 3 saw Midge and Susie discover that life on tour with Shy is glamorous but humbling, and learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget. Season 4 was announced within a week of Season 3’s debut, and while word on the next chapter in the show has been quiet during the coronavirus pandemic, now, we’ve got our first big update – Ventimiglia will take an unknown guest part in the series.
Stephanie Hsu will return in Season 4 alongside Luke Kirby, while Rachel Brosnahan, Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Michael Zegen, Kevin Pollak and Caroline Aaron are also expected to reprise their roles.
Amazon renews The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel for Season 4
13th December 2019
Amazon Studios has ordered a fourth season of the Emmy and Golden Globe-Award winning comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
The third season launched only a week ago on Amazon Prime Video, just as the show’s received two Golden Globe nominations, for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, and for star Rachel Brosnahan (House of Cards) for Best Performance by an Actress in a Series, Musical or Comedy.
In Season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Midge and Susie discover that life on tour with Shy is glamorous but humbling, and they learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget. Joel struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams, Abe embraces a new mission and Rose learns she has talents of her own.
Now, Amazon has confirmed that the characters will all be returning for a fourth run.
“We were thrilled to hear that for the fourth time, we do not have to pack up and vacate the premises,” says Creator and Executive Producer Amy Sherman-Palladino (Gilmore Girls) and Executive Producer Daniel Palladino (Gilmore Girls). “We’d like to thank Amazon for all their faith and support, their partnership and enthusiasm, and for letting us hang with our favorite people, the cast and crew of Maisel, for a little while longer.”
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been a worldwide phenomenon, and Season 3 has been no exception, with the series’ most watched opening weekend ever. We’re so happy that our Prime Video customers will get to see Midge’s story continue in Season 4,” adds Jennifer Salke, Head of Amazon Studios. “Amy and Dan have created such funny, charming, relatable characters, all with their inimitable wit and eye for detail, and our customers around the world will be delighted to have another season in the world of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
