Amazon has found its Man in the High Castle

Amazon has officially found its Man in the High Castle.
Despite being the titular character, the mysterious man is absent entirely from the first season of Amazon’s series, which is based on Philip K. Dick’s alt-history novel about life in the US, after the Axis Powers won WWII. A figure steeped in rumour, reputation and recluse, all we know is that he’s supposedly connected with, apparently collects and perhaps even produces, a series of film reels that appear to depict the world in the version of history that we know it. Naturally, the Nazis and Imperial Japan want them destroyed.
Now, Amazon has announced Stephen Root has been cast as the man, an actor viewers may recognise from Selma, Trumbo, Boardwalk Empire or as Milton from cult classic Office Space.
Season 2 of The Man in the High Castle is released on Friday 16th December. Watch the opening minutes of the new season .
