Cloak & Dagger returns to Amazon Prime Video this April for a second season of coming-of-age superheroics.
The Marvel series, co-produced by Marvel Television and ABC Signature Studios, tells the story of two teenagers from very different backgrounds who find themselves burdened and awakened by their new powers. Alongside Tandy’s ability to emit light daggers is Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph – The Night Of), who has the ability to engulf others in darkness. They discover their abilities at the same time as a mysterious link to one another, a Theynd quickly learn they are better together than apart.
The series is created by Joe Pokaski (Underground, Heroes), who serves as showrunner and also executive produces alongside Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s The Punisher, Marvel’s The Defenders) and Jim Chory (Marvel’s The Punisher, Marvel’s The Defenders).
“This intriguing blend of teen drama and superhero genre is a unique addition to the Marvel Universe,” we wrote in our review of Season 1, still available on Amazon Prime Video for catching up.
Season 2 sees a new evil growing in New Orleans, with Tandy and Tyrone the only ones who can stop it. It premieres on Friday 5th April, with episodes arriving on Amazon Prime Video weekly, within 24 hours of its US broadcast.
