24: Legacy trailer lands online

What does 24 look like without Jack Bauer? Now, we have an answer, as the first trailer for the new 24 series has landed online.
Fox first announced its plans to order another 12-episode, limited series last year, following the success of 24: Live Another Day. This time, though, Kiefer Sutherland has hung up his bag and angry face, with Corey Hawkins (Straight Outta Compton) taking on the franchise’s new lead role.
Hawkins will play Eric Carter, a military man who returns from war to find himself at the centre of a terrorist conspiracy. Terrorists? Conspiracy? A race against time? Sounds like classic 24 to us. And, sure enough, creators Manny Cotto and Evan Katz are on board, so you can expect the usual combination of shouting, running and, erm, pipes rolling down hills towards people. Sons of Anarchy’s Jimmy Smits co-stars in the series.
The show will premiere on Sunday 5th February 2017 in the US, with Sky 1 expected to air the show shortly afters its American broadcast. We’ll bring you more news on that as we have it. Until then, see above for the trailer – or head this way to see our guide to catching up with 24 online.
