Which UK cinemas are showing Wolfwalkers?

Cartoon Saloon is back this autumn with its latest magical wonder, Wolfwalkers – and you can catch on the big screen before it heads online.
The film, which is directed by Tomm Moore (Song of the Sea, The Secret of Kells) and Ross Stewart, is set in the 17th century, a time of superstition and magic but also a time when the Irish city of Kilkenny is occupied by Oliver Cromwell’s forces. Robyn Goodfellowe is a young apprentice hunter who journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack in the forest surrounding the town. While exploring, she befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumoured to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the Wolfwalkers.
“Cartoon Saloon’s environmental fable of friendship and understanding is a truly magical wonder,” we wrote in our review.
The film is backed by Apple TV+ and will be released on the streaming service on 11th December. Before then, however, it’s getting a theatrical run thanks to Wildcard Distribution.
“That was very important for us,” Moore told us in our interview with him and Stewart.
