All 4 is doing its best to keep you on the sofa and from any new year’s resolutions this January, with the return of Walter Presents’ most watched show of 2019 and the debut of a new animation from Genndy Tartakovsky.

Walter Presents: The Adulterer: Season 2 – 3rd January
The dust clouds of the first season of this Dutch psychological thriller have barely settled before the story continues in which extramarital affairs, betrayal and murder are all part of the mix. This time it’s different, more dangerous and has more at stake with a kidnapping pushing two families to the edge.
Film4: The Girl on the Train – 6th January
Emily Blunt stars in Tate Taylor’s adaptation of Paula Hawkins’s bestselling thriller. As Rachel Watson (Blunt) commutes to New York City, she daydreams about the people who live beside the train tracks. Rachel has become obsessed with the woman living at 13 Beckett Road, imagining her life in the most intimate detail. One morning, Rachel sees the woman kissing someone who isn’t her husband. After fretting all day about the woman’s infidelity, Rachel drunkenly breaks her homeward journey to confront her. The next morning, she wakes in her own bed, covered in blood and with no clear idea what happened the previous evening.
Naked Attraction: Season 6 – 9th January
Anna Richardson returns with the sixth season of the dating show that starts where some good dates might end: naked. Each week, hopeful singletons seek to choose a date from selection of six naked people, based solely on the power of naked attraction.
Walter Presents: Pakt – 10th January
Polish crime thriller. Pitor, a newspaper journalist, is drawn into a web of lies and betrayal when he exposes evidence of a fraud in a multinational company involving his own brother. This ruins his career, family relations, and entraps him in a following mystery.
Film4: Alien Covenant – 11th January
Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demián Bichir star in Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror. It’s 2104 and the spaceship Covenant is on its way to Origae-6. When a neutrino burst hits the ship, Walter revives the hibernating crew members to help fix the damage. The crew receive a human-sounding message from a nearby planet and go to investigate. Inside a massive spaceship that crashed up in the mountains they find a dog tag belonging to a crew member of the Prometheus, which went missing 10 years earlier.
Adult Swim: Primal – 17th January
Genndy Tartakovsky’s latest animation is an epic with no dialogue that follows the adventures of a caveman at the dawn of evolution and a T-Rex on the brink of extinction. Bonded by tragedy, this unlikely friendship becomes the only hope of survival in a violent, primordial world. All five episodes arrive at once, with five more on the way later this year.

Walter Presents: Stockholm Requiem – 24th January
Based on Kristina Ohlsson’s novels, the series follows criminologist Fredrika Bergman, who after a tragic car accident, accepts a job at Stockholm police’s special investigation unit – but her presence is neither welcomed or wanted.
Adult Swim: Frisky Dingo – 31st January
From the creator of hit series Archer comes Frisky Dingo. This animated series focuses on philandering billionaire playboy who moonlights as the superhero, Awesome X, as he faces against his greatest adversary, Killface, but finds balancing his business and superhero lives difficult.
