Netflix has thrilling October in store, with the return of Hellbound and The Diplomat, plus the arrival of Woman of the Hour, Don’t Move and a new Tomb Raider series, but there’s comfort available in a new Chef’s Table course, the return of Heartstopper and Love Is Blind, plus the latest offering from Hayao Miyazaki.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in October 2024:

Chef’s Table: Noodles: Season 1 – 2nd October

Chef’s Table: Noodles will take viewers on a delectable journey across the globe, exploring the rich and diverse world of noodles through the eyes of four masterful chefs. This season celebrates the cultural significance and culinary artistry of noodles, offering a deep dive into both traditional and innovative techniques.

Love Is Blind: Season 7 – 2nd October

The original US version of the dating series, which sees contestants meet in ponds, sight unseen, returns.

Heartstopper: Season 3 – 3rd October

Season 3 of the heartfelt coming-of-age comedy, based on Alice Oseman’s webcomic, will see Nick and Charlie’s relationship deepen as they get closer in every way, but face their biggest emotional challenges yet. Joining the cast will be Hayley Atwell (Agent Carter, Black Mirror) as Nick’s aunt, Diane, Eddie Marsan (Ray Donovan, Fair Play) as Geoff, Charlie’s therapist, and Jonathan Bailey (Bridgerton) as Jack Maddox, Charlie’s celebrity crush.

The Platform 2 – 4th October

As a mysterious leader imposes their rule in the Platform, a new resident becomes embroiled in the battle against this controversial method to fight the brutal feeding system. But when eating from the wrong plate becomes a death sentence, how far would you be willing to go to save your life?

She Said – 6th October

Carey Mulligan (Promising Young Woman, An Education) and Zoe Kazan (The Plot Against America limited series, The Big Sick) star as New York Times reporters Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor, who together broke one of the most important stories in a generation–a story that helped propel the #Metoo movement, shattered decades of silence around the subject of sexual assault in Hollywood and altered American culture forever.

The Boy and the Heron – 7th October

Hayao Miyazaki returns to directing with this beautifully animated exploration of grief and imagination.

Breaking the Silence: The Maria Soledad Case – 10th October

In ’90s Argentina, the murder of a high school student sparks widespread protests. Retold by her loved ones, this documentary shows their fight for justice.

Outer Banks: Season 4, Part 1 – 10th October

What happens when 6 Pogues finally get their hands on the gold they’ve been searching for? Higher stakes, more to lose. Season 4 comes to Netflix in two parts, with part two arriving on 7th November.

Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft: Season 1 – 10th October

A new animated series from Powerhouse Animation, set after the events of the Tomb Raider Survivor Trilogy video games.

The Lincoln Lawyer: Season 3 – 17th October

The Lincoln Lawyer, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the third season is based on the fifth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Gods of Guilt.

Woman of the Hour – 18th October

Anna Kendrick stars in her directorial debut, Woman of the Hour – the stranger-than-fiction story of an aspiring actress in 1970s Los Angeles and a serial killer in the midst of a yearslong murder spree, whose lives intersect when they’re cast on an episode of The Dating Game.

Don’t Move – 25th October

A woman alone in the forests of Big Sur must escape a serial killer with just 20 minutes left before her body completely shuts down.

Simone Biles Rising: Part 2 – 25th October

Journey into the world of Simone as she grapples with vulnerability and self-doubt, redefining what it means to be a champion on her own terms.

Hellbound: Season 2 – 25th October

As the chaos deepens, lawyer Min Hyejin, The New Truth and Arrowheads get entangled anew amid the sudden resurrections of the formerly condemned.

The Diplomat: Season 2 – 31st October

This thrilling political drama, created by Debora Cahn (The West Wing, Homeland), follows Kate Wyler (Keri Russell), the new US Ambassador to the United Kingdom. She was supposed to go to Afghanistan. She’s great in a crisis zone. In a historic home… less so. War is brewing on one continent and boiling over on another. Kate will have to diffuse international crises, forge strategic alliances in London, and adjust to her new place in the spotlight — all while trying to survive her marriage to fellow career diplomat and political star Hal Wyler (Rufus Sewell).
