Netflix is firmly in thrills mode this April, with the debut of a new take on The Talented Mr Ripley, starring Andrew Scott, Part 2 of Zack Snyder’s actioner Rebel Moon, plus a slice of new Korean sci-fi. There’s also nature doc Our Living World, arriving just in time for Earth Day. All eyes, though, will likely be on Rufus Sewell as he plays Prince Andrew in Scoop, a drama about that infamous Newsnight interview.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Netflix UK in April 2024:

Humans: Season 1 to 3 – 1st April

Channel 4’s superb sci-fi drama, based on the award-winning Swedish drama Real Humans from Matador Films, is set in a parallel present where the lines between humans and machines are blurred, as “Synths” become the latest must-have gadget for every home.

Ripley: Season 1 – 4th April

Based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling Tom Ripley novels, Steve Zaillian’s drama introduces us to Tom, a grifter scraping by in early 60s New York. He’s hired by a wealthy industrialist to travel to Italy to try to convince the man’s dilettante son, Dickie Greenleaf, to return home. Accepting the job is Tom’s first step into a complex life of deceit, fraud, and murder.

Scoop – 5th April

Scoops: Behind The Scenes of the BBC’s Most Shocking Interviews, Scoop promises to give the inside track of the women that broke through the Buckingham Palace establishment to secure the scoop of the decade that led to the catastrophic fall from grace of The Queen’s ‘favourite son’. Rufus Sewell, Gillian Anderson and Billie Piper star.

Parasyte: The Grey: Season 1 – 5th April

When unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, humanity must rise to combat the growing threat in this Korean sci-fi thriller.

What Jennifer Did – 10th April

It was a violent crime that shook a quiet Canadian town: Mysterious intruders break into the home of Vietnamese immigrants, terrorize the family, and leave a traumatized daughter as the only witness. Neighbors and friends describe the family as hospitable, generous, and hard-working – how could they be targets? This feature-length documentary from director Jenny Popplewell (American Murder: The Family Next Door) uses police interrogation footage and testimony from those involved to unravel a web of complexities that no one saw coming.

Good Times – 12th April

In this irreverent reimagining of the TV classic, a new generation of the Evans family keeps their heads above water in a Chicago housing project. An unfiltered adult comedy with the voices of Yvette Nicole Brown, J.B. Smoove, Wanda Sykes and more.




Our Living World: Season 1 – 17th April

From the Emmy Award-winning team behind Our Great National Parks comes a revealing look at the secret network of connections that unites us all and sustains our planet’s most magical phenomenon: life itself. Narrated by Academy Award-winner Cate Blanchett, this docuseries spans the globe to showcase the extraordinary creatures and ecosystems, great and small, that work together to help restore and sustain Our Living World.

Rebel Moon: Part Two – The Scargiver – 19th April

Zack Snyder continues the epic saga of Kora and the surviving warriors as they prepare to sacrifice everything, fighting alongside the brave people of Veldt, to defend a once peaceful village, a newfound homeland for those who have lost their own in the fight against the Motherworld. On the eve of their battle the warriors must face the truths of their own pasts, each revealing why they fight. In the Land of Saints and Sinners – 26th April

A disillusioned hitman comes out of retirement for one last job when an IRA bomber on the run from the law arrives in his sleep Irish village. Liam Neeson and Kerry COndon star in this thriller.
