Disney is kicking off the new year with two new series, the first a thiller starring Sterling K Brown and James Marsden, and the second, a dark comedy from Drew Goddard starring Kaitlin Olson. They’re joined by the return of Goosebumps for a second season, plus the final episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.

Here’s what’s coming soon to Disney+ in January 2025:

Goosebumps: Season 2 – 10th January

Titled The Vanishing, this second chapter of the horror series begins when twins Cece and Devin Brewer are sent to spend a summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn, with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Cece, Devin and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994. All episodes arrive together.

Alien: Romulus – 15th January

Fede Álvarez’s remix of the horror sci-fi franchise is grim, fresh and frightening.

High Potential – 23rd January

Written by Drew Goddard (The Good Place, The Martian) and starring Kaitlin Olson, High Potential follows a single mom with an exceptional mind, whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective (Daniel Sunjata). Based on the popular French series Haut Potentiel Intellectuel. Episodes 1 to 2 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly.

Nightbitch – 24th January

A woman (Amy Adams) pauses her career to be a stay-at-home mom, but soon her new domesticity takes a surreal turn. Marielle Heller brings her satirical and singular vision to Nightbitch, based on the novel by Rachel Yoder.

Paradise: Season 1 – 28th January

Paradise is set in a serene community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high-stakes investigation unfolds. Episodes 1 to 3 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly.

Your Friendly Neighourhood Spider-Man – 29th January

This animated series follows Peter Parker on his way to becoming a hero, with a journey unlike we have ever seen and a style that celebrates the character’s early comic book roots. Episodes 1 to 2 arrive together, followed by episodes weekly.
